Tideline Command

Tideline Command asks you to think like a harbourmaster and a general at the same time. You build and defend a chain of coastal settlements while the tide literally reshapes the map every few minutes, opening and closing routes for your ships. It's a smart hook that keeps you planning ahead constantly.

The touch interface deserves credit. Pinch to zoom, drag boxes to select units, and a radial menu for orders that never feels cramped. I was worried a strategy game this dense would be a nightmare on a phone, but it holds up. Slowing time during a tricky assault is a lifesaver.

Matches run long, and there's genuine satisfaction in setting up a supply chain that survives a raid you saw coming an hour earlier. The AI can be a little predictable once you learn its habits, but against a friend it turns into something special.
